Hello,
A
very warm welcome to this Summer
Newsletter from Ealing
Physiotherapy Sports Medicine &
Back Centre.
I am happy
to say that after a year and
eight months on adoption leave
with my little girl, I am making
a gradual return to treat
patients at the clinic. To ease
in gently, I will be treating
patients three short mornings
per week. I've missed all my
old patients and look forward to
meeting some of you again.
To
celebrate Ealing Physiotherapy
being 20 years old this year (I
opened in South Ealing ten years
ago) and my return to the
Clinic, we are repeating the
successful massage promotion we
ran recently, please click this

Calling all Cyclists |
|
A
comfortable and
efficient riding
position is key to the
bike-body interaction.
It is therefore very
important that your bike
is properly set-up and
adjusted.
If
your bike is adjusted to
suit your particular body
size and shape you will feel
better and will be able to
ride longer distances with
less effort. Once you have
made the adjustments
recommended, ride gently for
the next few days to give
your body time to adjust to
these new settings.

properly set up can do for
you!

Orthotics/Biomechanical
Assessments |
Foot and
ankle biomechanics are an
important component of our
dynamic ambulation whether it is
running or walking.
Our feet
roll in (pronation) and roll out
(supination) during our normal
ambulation. Changes in these
mechanics can lead to a
multitude of symptoms from ankle
/ heel pain, shin splints, knee
pain, hip or low back pain.
Posture is greatly
influenced by ankle & foot
dynamics in both the
athletic and sedentary
population.
A detailed
analysis of the ankle and foot
biomechanics will enable us to
identify the abnormal ankle /
foot and other lower limb
biomechanics. Dysfunctions can
be corrected by use of orthotics
in your footwear.
